When it comes to the interior painting of trim (floor, crown, doors, windows, etc.) most homeowners choose some shade of white or off-white for their interior trim paint color. A real statement can be made in a room with painting the walls a light/neutral color and then painting the trim a bright or bold color. Or, all surfaces except the ceiling can be painted the same color to provide a truly unique look.
As you can see painting all surfaces the same color can dramatically change the look of a room. Below are three links to pictures of where the trim has been painted a bold/bright color with white walls to provide stunning look.

Hopefully you find some of the trim colors fun and are willing to take the chance to be bold in your own home with non traditional trim colors.
