The color trend for interior painting in 2016 is white, white and some more white 🙂 Well, what if you don’t like white walls, ceilings or trim. Or you like some white but not all surfaces. How about trying the complete opposite….black. I know the color black is a very scary thought when thinking about painting the interior of your home. Below are three articles from the wonderful contributors at HOUZZ regarding when and why to paint your walls, ceilings and doors black.
1. When to paint walls black and how to accent:
2. Reasons why to paint your ceilings black:

To be honest I have not considered using black on any of the surfaces in my home. But after reading these articles there a many good ideas on how to use back as an accent color. The next time I’m ready to paint a room I’m going to find a way to implement black. It certainly is thinking outside the box but sure can make a dramatic change to a room or home.
